Project Scope

Kenya Solar Installers was engaged to install a reliable and scalable solar energy solution for a school in Nandi Hills. The objective was to reduce reliance on grid power, minimize operational interruptions, and support digital learning and administration.


System Specifications

  • Solar Panels: 16 pcs × 590W monocrystalline modules

  • Inverter: 1 × 10kW Hybrid Inverter

  • Battery Storage: 5 × 5kWh Lithium-ion Batteries (Total: 25kWh)

  • Mounting Structure: Custom-designed roof-mount system

  • Accessories: Advanced BOS components including isolators, surge protection, and monitoring


What It Powers

This hybrid system powers the school’s:

  • Classrooms and administration block lighting

  • Printers, photocopiers, projectors and internet routers

  • Staff kitchen equipment and water pumps

  • Emergency backup for evening prep and boarding sections
